RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) – Police have arrested Jennifer Slemp, 36, in connection with a deadly hit and run in Richmond, Virginia last month. Earlier this month a grand jury indicted Slemp for the hit and run that killed 25-year-old David Boyd and injured another man.

Court documents indicated a 2006 Honda Accord, driven by Slemp, hit the men after they fell into her lane of travel along S. 14th Street and Canal Street around 2:00 a.m. on April 23. The men, David Boyd and Brendan Ellis, were involved in a fight at the time. Boyd’s father told the Richmond Times Dispatch his son was trying to break up the fight.

Court documents indicated Slemp told police she was unaware she hit anyone.
