Driver charged in Shockoe Bottom hit-and-run
RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) A Richmond woman receives official hit and run charges after allegedly hitting and killing a man with her car outside a Shockoe Bottom club on April 21.
A grand jury indicted 36-year-old Jennifer Slemp this morning in connection with the accident that killed 25-year-old David Boyd and injured another man.
Police say Slemp’s Honda was traveling south on 14th Street when a fight spilled out onto the road in front of her.
Court documents indicated Slemp told police she was unaware she hit anyone. That’s why she kept driving.
