HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) - Two misdemeanor charges were dropped Wednesday against Andrew Walters during an appearance in Henrico County Court.

Walters, who remains jailed without bond, is still charged with eluding police - a felony.

Walters is accused of crashing a car into the Chickahominy River while driving away from police last month. Sisters Amanda Irby, 15, and Jessica Gallmeyer, 27, were in the car and died as a result of the crash.

Irby's father attended Wednesday's hearing and said it was incredibly difficult to see Walters in court. He added his family was not doing good since the crash.

Walters is due back in court May 19, the same day the Henrico Grand Jury is scheduled to meet.
