When we’ll see more rain this week

Snow totals for WTVRRICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) - As it stands now, we expect snow to move north into Metro Richmond by early evening tomorrow, while reaching our southernmost counties a bit earlier, between 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.

The snow will become heavy at times between the onset and 2 a.m. Thursday.

MG2In the wee hours of the morning, the snow will mix with and change to sleet and freezing rain in Richmond for several hours as the storm system draws milder air into the mid and low levels of the atmosphere.

The storm will continue to move up the coast, with wrap around snow, sleet, and rain remaining possible into early afternoon Thursday.

    Breaking News Forecast from DopplerMax Romaine: The Doppler now shows Central Virginia under clouds as the blue coloring (aka snow) crosses just south of Richmond. A heckuva lot of SNOW is on the way folks!! The National Weather Service is STILL predicting that we’ll accumulate up to 14 inches of snow and should start between just after 1 p.m. but likely by 3 p.m. today. (DopplerMaxJr Ro’s kid:has hedged his bets AGAIN on 2 feet of snow!! DopplerMax Romaine has decided DopplerMaxJr is malfunctioning and will get his head examined!) The Virginia Dept. of Emergency is also still predicting we’ll receive up to 14 inches. Lastly folks, bundle up, it’s gonna be a COLD ONE!!) This has been a breaking news alert.
