Richmond Outreach Center hires two interim pastors
RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) — The Richmond Outreach Center (The ROC) has hired two interim pastors. Pastors David Wheeler and Louis ‘PJ’ Preston will alternate preaching duties so the church board of directors can focus their full attention on the search for a new senior pastor.
The ROC’s senior pastor and founder, Geronimo Aguilar or Pastor G, resigned in June after charges from his past resurfaced. Aguilar has been charged with aggravated sexual battery of a child under 14 in Tarrant County, Texas. Aguilar and his lawyer maintain his innocence.
The ROC made the announcement at their Saturday evening service and released a press release on their website. Within the release the church also stated that their assistant pastor, Fernando Kittrell, would be resigning effective August 31.
