Former Bishop Walter Sullivan now recovering at home from tumor
RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) – Walter Sullivan, the former bishop for the Catholic Diocese of Richmond, has been released from the hospital and is now receiving hospice care.
Sullivan had been receiving treatment at St. Mary’s for an inoperable tumor on his liver.
He was the 11th bishop of Richmond and retired to an honorary position in 2003 after 29 years of service.
