AURORA, Colorado (WTVR) – A man who had a cigarette with the Colorado movie theater shooting suspect earlier this week, said he was in shock when he saw the man’s picture on TV.
Jackie Mitchell told a KCNC-TV reporter Friday morning that knew James Holmes from a local bar – and that they talked about football – on Tuesday.
“The hair stood up on my back. I know this guy,” said Mitchell.
In fact, Mitchell said that he and Holmes shared a cigarette. He described Holmes an intelligent guy, a bookworm type that had a little a swagger and a smile.
Even more startling, Mitchell said he had wanted to see the new Batman movie, but decided not to go because he had to work. Plus, he had just seen the new Spider-Man movie last weekend.
