CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) – Three libraries in Chesterfield County have extended hours to offer folks a respite from the extreme heat this weekend.
Officials said Chesterfield County’s Chester, Meadowdale and La Prade library branches will be open until 9 p.m. Saturday, They will also be open Sunday from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.
There are still widespread power outages in the county. County officials said the libraries, as well as other public facilities such as shopping centers or malls, are good options for places to escape the heat.
