RICHMOND, Va. -- A local organization will honor the life of longtime CBS 6 anchor Stephanie Rochon, who passed away last year after a nine-month battle with cancer.

Stephanie will be honored by Reach Out For Life at the Richmond Flying Squirrels game on Wednesday, Aug. 31.

The organization works to raise awareness for and help in the early detection of breast cancer, a cause Stephanie devoted a great deal of her time to on the air and during her personal time.

Ticket sales for Strike Out Breast Cancer night will support Reach Out For Life.

CBS 6 anchor Reba Hollingsworth, who is carrying on Stephanie’s legacy by continuing her Buddy Check 6 reports, will emcee the event at the game.
