Police identify man found dead in Henrico apartment complex

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. — Police identified the man killed at a Henrico apartment complex Saturday night as 22-year-old Justin Gabriel Rogers, of Bromby Street, in Henrico. Police responded to a shooting call at about 11:30 p.m. Saturday and found Rogers dead along the 200 block of Newbridge Circle in the Coventry Gardens Apartments.

“The motive and cause of death are unknown, and detectives are continuing their investigation,” Henrico Police spokesman Lieutenant Chris Eley wrote in a Monday morning email. Anyone with information about Rogers’ death was asked to call Henrico Police at (804) 501-5000 or Crime Stoppers at 780-1000.

On Sunday, Henrico Police were call back out to the Coventry Gardens Apartments to investigate after a man was found dead in his apartment. Police have not said if the Rogers homicide and the Sunday death investigation were related.
