HENRICO, Va. -- Detectives in Henrico are asking the public for help to solve the county's latest murder.
Officers responded to reports of shots fired at the Coventry Gardens Apartments in the 200 block of New Bridge Circle around 11:30 p.m. Saturday.
That's where police found a black male dead on the ground.
Police have not released the victim's name, pending notification of next of kin.
Less than 12 hours later, Henrico police were called back to Coventry Gardens Apartments around 10 a.m. Sunday after a man was found dead in his apartment.
Police are investigating Saturday's shooting as a homicide, but they are calling Sunday's incident a death investigation.
Investigators are asking anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers at 804-780-1000.
