RICHMOND, Va. -- Even though your morning commute will be dry in Central Virginia, rain showers to arrive from the west to the east after 9 a.m. Richmond’s most likely window for rain today is 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

On your lunch break, don’t be surprised if you hear some rumbles of thunder. Your kids coming home from school may also need their rain gear. I do not expect us all to be dry until the cold front passes this evening around dinner time.

Rain totals look like they will range from about a tenth to a quarter-inch across central Virginia.
