RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) -- Parents, students and school leaders gathered Wednesday night in Richmond to talk about a big upcoming move.

About 100 students from Fairfield Court Elementary will have to be bused to Clark Springs Elementary for at least two weeks while emergency repairs are made to the school’s leaky roof.

Superintendent Dr. Dana Bedden opened the meeting by apologizing for the disruption.

Parents CBS 6 spoke with said they attended the meeting for some reassurance.

"Is it big enough to combine two schools? Is the curriculum going to change? And what’s going to be the teacher to student ratio," one parent asked.

Fairfield Court students will start attending Clark Springs after spring break -- and will remain there for the rest of the school year.
