RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) - Today could be our first day to hit 90 degrees, breaking the record high for April 10 of 88 degrees set in 1922.

Our Summer-like heat-wave is the result of a broad, strong upper-level ridge over our region, which is also keeping the jet stream (and the colder air) well to our north in Canada.
