RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) – Lawmakers gave a standing ovation Wednesday at the General Assembly to remember a beloved Virginia State Trooper killed in the line of duty.
The family of Master Trooper Junius Walker was on hand as lawmakers paid tribute to him -- remembering his life and his service to the Commonwealth.
Troopers said Walker was shot and killed last month on I-85 in Dinwiddie by a driver he was trying to assist.
A vigil for Walker will be held at the Dinwiddie courthouse Thursday at 7 p.m.
