RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) – Skies cleared enough overnight in the southern half of Virginia with calm winds to allow for fog to form. Visibilities are dropping to a quarter of a mile in south-central Virginia, and dense fog should persist in this part of the state through 8-9 a.m.
These significantly reduced visibilities will impact I-85 and I-95 from Petersburg and south to the North Carolina state line.
Elsewhere in central Virginia, expect patchy dense fog, especially in low-lying areas, agricultural regions, and along waterways.
