CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WTVR) – After surviving an attempted ouster in June, University of Virginia President Teresa Sullivan will be sticking around a little longer.
Sullivan’s five-year contract was extended Friday by the Board of Visitors for another year. That means she will stay on through 2016.
Rector Helen Dragas, who led the failed effort to remove Sullivan, was part of the unanimous vote on the extension.
Dragas said Sullivan is working hard to address the school’s issues.
