HENRICO COUNTY, Va. -- A portion of all Northbound lanes of I-295 in Henrico County were closed Wednesday following a vehicle fire.
The lanes near Pocahontas Parkway/Route 895 were closed for hours following the fire, as well as the ramp from Route 895 to I-295 North.
The vehicle has been removed, and VDOT crews are in the process of assessing the Charles City Road bridge over I-295 for damage from the fire. The bridge will remain closed until further notice.
At 5:40 p.m., the left and center lanes were re-opened. The right lane, ramp, and overpass remain closed.
