CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. – Fire Marshals are investigating the cause of a fire that destroyed a barn at the Chesterfield Berry Farm Wednesday morning.
Chesterfield Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the berry farm at 26002 Pear Orchard Road for the report of a barn on fire at 7:40 a.m.
Officials say fire crews arrived to find a barn fully engulfed in flames.
It took firefighters approximately 30 minutes to get the fire under control.

There were no injuries.
The Chesterfield County Fire Marshal’s Office was unable to determine the cause of the fire due to the amount of fire damage to the barn.
The barn was used as a maintenance storage facility for the berry farm. The barn and all the items inside are considered to be a total loss.
