Gunman robs Crown Chicken in Richmond

RICHMOND, Va. -- Richmond Police have asked for help to identify the suspect in an armed robbery at a chicken restaurant.

The crime happened around 6 p.m. Monday at Crown Chicken, located at 3203 Jefferson Davis Highway, in South Richmond.

"The suspect entered the business, approached the counter and while pointing his handgun at the cashier, demanded money. The cashier complied and gave the suspect money from the register,” a police spokesperson said.

No injuries were reported during the armed robbery.

The man ran from the restaurant and was last seen headed north on Jefferson Davis Highway.
