RICHMOND, Va. -- The Pit and the Peel, a juice bar and bistro offering healthy drinks and foods like acai bowls, is expanding to a third location.
The owners opened their first location two years ago hoping to bring some fresh food to people quickly.
Since then manager Barbara Jones said the community has embraced the eatery.
“We have healthy food options for people in a hurry and Richmond really embraced that,” Jones said. “And that's great because without Richmond's support we wouldn't be having this third location getting ready to open.”
The Pit and the Peel will be at the Carytown Watermelon Festival in August.
And the third location at the James Center in downtown Richmond is slated to open in 2018.
