Men arrested for Marshall Street shooting

RICHMOND, Va. — A Richmond man was arrested on two felony charges in connection with an October shooting in Richmond’s Carver neighborhood.

Carlo N. Johnson, 23, of Holly Street, turned himself in to police Wednesday. Johnson was charged with malicious wounding and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony

Last month police arrested Shaahid D. Smith, 22, of Holly Street, and charged him with malicious wounding and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony in connection to the shooting.

On October 22, at about 2:10 a.m., police were called to the 1200 block of West Marshall Street for a report of a person shot. They arrived to find a man on the ground suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
