JOHNSON COUNTY, Kan. -- A Kansas man charged with stalking a mother pleaded guilty Monday and was ordered to stay out of all Panera Bread restaurants as part of his sentencing.

Michael Montgomery stood in front of a judge with his attorney and pleaded guilty to two counts of criminal trespassing, according to WDAF.

He'll spend the next year on probation for pleading guilty to the charges.

Prosecutors say Montgomery and the victim, from Johnson County, were at the same Panera Bread in Overland Park at least four different times earlier this year.

The victim said Montgomery acted strangely and commented on her feet and ankles each time he saw her.

Montgomery is also accused of following the victim out of the restaurant.

Prosecutors say several other women also reported strange encounters with Montgomery over the past several year,  but an investigation didn't lead to any additional charges in this case.

Montgomery already served 15 days in jail, was on house arrest for 100 days and spent some time in a treatment facility.

He's also ordered to stay away from the victim and all Panera Bread restaurants.
