Suspect in fatal Motel 6 stabbing charged with second degree murder

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. — Police have arrested and charged the suspect in a fatal stabbing that occurred at a Motel 6 in Sandston early Sunday morning.

Leslie J. Tyler, Jr. has been arrested and charged with second degree murder after police developed him as a suspect.

 

Officers initially responded to the motel on the 5700 block of Williamsburg Road around 1:26 p.m. for a report of a stabbing. The male victim was transported to the hospital by rescue for his injuries and later passed away there.

Police have yet to release the identity of the victim.
