RICHMOND, Va. -- Police have asked for helping finding a Richmond teenager who is suspected in a murder.
Ishmael D. Brown, 17, of Richmond, is now wanted on charges of murder, according to Richmond Police.
It is believed Brown is connected to the Friday shooting death of 17-year-old George M. Carrington III, of Chimborazo Boulevard.
Police responded to a loud crash Friday, at about 5:39 p.m., along the 600 block of Milton Street in the Providence Park neighborhood.
"Upon arrival, they observed an overturned white Buick sedan. [Carrington] was found outside of the vehicle and had been shot. He was pronounced dead on the scene," a Richmond Police spokesperson said.
Police have not yet commented on a possible motive for the shooting.
Sources told CBS 6 crime insider Jon Burkett the shooting may be the result of a drug deal, but again police have not confirmed that information.
Police described Brown as a black male, who stands 6' and weighs approximately 150 pounds.
He has black hair and brown eyes.
"He is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached," a Richmond Police spokesman said. "Anyone who sees him is asked to call police immediately."
Anyone with information was asked to call Major Crimes Detective Greg Russell at 804-646-7715 or Crime Stoppers at 804-780-1000.
