Monacan travels to the Jungle and beats Louisa 42-24

The Monacan Chiefs scored 21 points in the second quarter as they beat Louisa 42-24 to advance to the second round of the 4A East playoffs.

After trailing 8-0 in the first quarter.  the Chiefs scored 21 unanswered points.  A Fludd 49 yard touchdown pass to Austin Snellings, who had three catches for 88 yards and touchdowns, made it 14-8. Then Fludd's 2nd touchdown pass of the quarter to Korey Bridy, gave the Chiefs a 21-8.

The Fludd to Bridy duo would hook up one more time in the third quarter after Louisa cut the lead down to 28-24, which proved to be the game winner.

Fludd threw for 252 yards and three touchdowns along with an addition 69 yards on the ground and a rushing touchdown.

Monacan will play the top seed in 4A East Dinwiddie next Friday.
