Man dies from injuries in Colonial Heights crash

COLONIAL HEIGHTS, Va. -- A man has died from injuries he sustained in a single-vehicle crash that also left a woman suffering from serious injuries Saturday morning.

Colonial Heights Police as well as Fire and EMS units responded to the area of Hamilton Avenue near Prince Albert Avenue at 9:28 a.m. for a crash involving a Nissan.

The man was transported to Southside Regional Medical Center with life threatening injuries.

He was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital.

The woman was transported to VCU Medical Center with serious injuries.

The Colonial Heights Major Accident Investigation Team is investigating this crash.

The name of the deceased is being withheld pending next-of-kin notification.
