RICHMOND, Va. -- Strange things happen on Halloween and Monday's edition of CBS 6 News at 5 p.m. was no exception.

Traffic reporter Raymond Hawkes was completing his 5:20 p.m. update on area road conditions when anchor Rob Desir decided to spook his coworker.

"Boo!" Desir screamed as he grabbed Hawkes from behind.

"I wasn't even paying attention and I thought there was no way you were going to pull that off," anchor Julie Bragg said after witnessing the unexpected act.

"I hate you!" Hawkes yelled.

"I so got him," Desir replied.

"And we even took the shot right at the right time," Bragg added.

Happy Halloween from everyone at CBS 6 News and WTVR.com.
