PRINCE GEORGE COUNTY, Va. -- Fire crews are investigating after a blaze completely destroyed a two-story wood frame house in Prince George County Sunday morning.
Fire dispatch received the initial call just before 8:45 a.m. from a neighbor who advised that the house next door was on fire and that the roof on the home had collapsed. She also said that she didn't believe anyone was home because there were no cars in front of the house.
Units arrived at the home on the 4800 block of Redgate Drive ten minutes after receiving the call and found that the fire was fully involved and the roof had collapsed. Firefighters found no evidence of anyone being inside at the time of the fire.
Officials are investigating what sparked the fire and say that all available units in Prince George County were activated to assist in containing the fire.
