SUFFOLK, Va. -- Two landfill workers were killed Tuesday after they got stuck inside a vertical concrete culvert, according to Suffolk Police.
Suffolk Fire and Rescue and Technical Rescue teams were called to the John C. Holland Landfill on Nansemond Parkway after 11 a.m., WTKR reported. Fire crews from Chesapeake, Norfolk, and Virginia Beach also responded to help.
The names of those who died at the landfill have not yet been released.
