HENRICO COUNTY, Va. -- Firefighters spent hours battling a two-alarm fire at an apartment complex in Henrico County's West End Sunday afternoon.

When fire crews arrived at the Cabin Creek apartments in the 1200 block of Gaskins Road just after 3:45 p.m., they found heavy fire coming from the front and back of the top story of a three-story apartment building.

Residents reported seeing massive amounts of smoke, was visible from at least half a mile away, when the fire broke out.

A man who lives at the apartment complex captured cell phone video that shows heavy flames and people rushing out of the building.

Henrico Fire spokesman Capt. Taylor Goodman said the fire took two hours to mark under control.

Officials said no was injured.

The more than 25 people (12 families) displaced by the fire are being helping by the Red Cross.

Goodman said the cause of the fire remains under investigation and will likely take some time to complete because of the extensive damage.
