Some fall foliage colors are starting to show

RICHMOND, Va. —  A little bit of fall foliage color is beginning to emerge west of I-95.  The colors are a little farther along near the West Virginia border, and there are some sections of moderate to high colors in parts of West Virginia.

In a typical year, peak color hits northwestern parts of the state during mid to late October, central Virginia in late October to early November, and southeastern parts of the state in early to mid to November.
