Chesterfield father arrested for hit-and-run, DUI

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. -- Police have arrested a man for a hit-and-run that happened in Chesterfield County on Sunday.

Police said 30-year-old Michael Dudley slammed into a car on Route 288 and then kept going.

When officers caught up with him on Hull Street Road, they found that not only was he intoxicated, but his one-year-old son was inside the car.

Dudley is facing DUI and child neglect charges.

His son was released to a relative.
