PRINCE GEORGE: The annual Virginia Czech & Slovak Folklife Festival is October 15, from 11 am to 4 pm at the Prince George County Regional Heritage Center, 6406 Courthouse Road, Prince George, VA 23875.

The event features the Czech & Slovak communities in Petersburg and Prince George County,  it showcases the music, dances, food and customs brought here by the Czech & Slovak families who settled on abandoned farms after the Civil War and whose ancestors cal those areas home. It also features farm and family history displays.

The festival  is held on the lawn of the historic Prince George Courthouse and the Prince George County Regional Heritage Center. It's free to attend, for directions and more information call (804) 863-0212 or visit http://vaczechslovak.org.
