Varina hands Patrick Henry first loss of season

VARINA, Va. - The Varina Blue Devils remained perfect against Patrick Henry and handed the Patriots their first loss of the season in a 26-14 win in week 7.

The Blue Devils got 156 yards rushing and 3 scores from C.J. Jones, including 2 fourth quarter TD runs, one covering 84 yards to cap the night's scoring. Varina quarterback R.J. Jones added another 95 yards on the ground and 66 through the air with a TD as the Blue Devils (3-3) outgained the Patriots 311-184.

Zaquari Tillman had a TD run for Patrick Henry (5-1) while Hunter Hart carried 12 times for 72 yards. Terrance Oxendine added a 50 yard punt return.

Varina visits Hanover next week while Patrick Henry hosts Armstrong
