RANDOLPH COUNTY, NC -- A North Carolina man is turning heads everywhere he goes.
Larry Hall glued more than 50,000 pennies on his 2000 Chevy Blazer -- 51,300 to be exact.
He says the Blazer used to be white, but after seven weeks and a lot of hard work, it's now copper and several hundred pounds heavier.
"I had to put them on one-by-one and it took about seven weeks and six or seven hours a day," he said. "It took 80 tubes of silicone glue and three gallons of fiberglass boat glue."
Hall said pennies occasionally pop off, but he has a glue kit in the penny wagon to quickly make repairs.
He said despite all the time and costs of the project, it all paid off.
"I've enjoyed it since I got it done."
