United for UNOS 8th Annual Soiree

RICHMOND, Va. – According to the United Network of Organ Sharing (UNOS), a national non-profit based in Richmond, about 45 percent of Americans are organ donors. In spite of this, there are still tens of thousands of people waiting on transplant lists, and an average of 22 of them die every day. Lisa Schaffner, PR and Marketing Director at UNOS, and double lung transplant recipient Heather James joined us in the studio this morning to share the details on the “United for UNOS 8th Annual Soiree.” The “United for UNOS 8th Annual Soiree” kicks off on Friday, October 7th from 7 pm to 10 pm at UNOS Headquarters at 700 N. 4th St. For more information visit http://www.unitedforunos.org.
