RICHMOND, Va. -- Richmond Police detectives are asking for the public’s help to locate a person of interest in a homicide that occurred late last month in Midlothian Village.
At approximately 5:55 p.m. on Sept. 23, officers were dispatched to the intersection of West 32nd Street and Midlothian Turnpike for a call of a person shot.
Police found Jarod T. Buford, 22, of the 1900 block of Richmond Street in Petersburg, inside of a nearby vehicle. He was taken to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The person of interest is described as a black male wearing a white T-shirt with a design on the sides, dark pants or jeans and white shoes. He may also have been carrying a pink backpack with black straps.
