Woman killed in Hanover head-on collision

HANOVER COUNTY, Va. — Sheriff’s deputies are investigating after a woman was killed in a head-on collision Sunday morning.

Deputies responded to the crash in the 13000 block of Mountain Road a little after 7:45 a.m. According to investigators, a 1996 Toyota Camry was travelling west on Mountain Road when it crossed into the eastbound lane and struck an International bucket truck head on.

The driver and sole occupant of the Camry, 22-year-old Azriel Desire Wood of Ashland, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

Investigators are still collecting information to determine the circumstances that led to the collision.
