Man wanted for forcefully grabbing VCU student’s buttocks

RICHMOND, Va. -- Police have released photos of a man wanted for forcefully grabbing a VCU student's buttocks as he walked past her at the University Student Commons.

"A woman reported holding a door open for a man at an entrance near the Main Street side of the building. As the survivor walked past the man, he forcefully grabbed her buttocks," a VCU Police spokesman said. "The suspect left the scene on a black and silver moped with a possible Virginia tag of 25755M."

Police described the man accused of grabbing the student as a "black male with a medium build and approximately 30 years old. He is approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall, is bald or has very short hair and a goatee. He was last seen wearing a charcoal gray T-shirt, dark denim shorts and black Nike tennis shoes with a red sole."

The incident reportedly happened Saturday, September 10 at 11 a.m.

Anyone with information about the incident was asked to call VCU Police at 804-828-1234.
