RICHMOND, Va, -- Two Richmond police officers are recovering after someone hit them in the head with a frying pan while responding to a call, according to a law enforcement source.

Multiple officers were seen at the corner of Spotsylvania and Accommodation streets in the Mosby Court area around 1 a.m. Friday.

A police source tells CBS 6 that a suspect assaulted the officers with a frying pan at an apartment complex.

A police spokesperson confirms two officers were responding to a domestic incident at that apartment.
