Restaurant manager charged with sex crimes at mall food court

COLONIAL HEIGHTS, Va. -- The manager of KnockOut Burgers & Philly Steak at the Southpark Mall food court in Colonial Heights was arrested on multiple charges of sexual battery, according to police.

Joseph Ateaf Habib, 33, was accused of committing those crimes at the restaurant he managed.

"There were multiple victims involved in this arrest," a Colonial Heights Police spokesperson said.

Colonial Heights Police said they believe there are more victims and with three alleged victims coming forward; they hope if there are others, they will come forward.

According to court records, one charge dates back to April while the other three occurred in August.

Habib was arrested August 25 and charged with three counts of Sexual Battery and one count Object Sexual Penetration, according to police.

Habib has been given a court appointed attorney and is being held at Riverside Regional Jail without bond.
