HENRICO COUNTY, Va. -- The Reinhart Guest House offers a place to stay for families with loved ones who are being cared for at St. Mary’s Hospital in Henrico County.
The Reinhart Guest House "provides support, community, and comfortable accommodations to our patients and families, with the intention of promoting health and wholeness."
In the two years since it opened, the Reinhart Guest House has welcomed more than 2,800 guests.
As part of her Nikki-Dee Can You Be Me series, Nikki-Dee Ray volunteered at the guest house to find out what it takes to keep the facility up and running.
The Reinhart Guest House relies on volunteers and donations. It is in most need of:
Toilet paper
Paper towels
Laundry detergent
Kleenex (square and rectangle boxes)
Individual sized snacks, especially healthy (granola bars, applesauce, pretzels, pudding, jello)
Coffee Supplies (k-cups, sugar, creamer)
Juice boxes
Bottled water
Heavy duty trash bags
Cleaning supplies (windex, disinfectant wipes)
$10 gift cards (Target, Walmart, Martins, Kroger, gas, movie, etc.)
