UPDATE: Emma Cummings’ father contacted WTVR Thursday afternoon to report his daughter has been found safe. No further details were released.

WINCHESTER, Va. — The father of a missing 15-year-old girl has asked for help finding his daughter.

Emma Cummings, a student at Jefferson High School in West Virginia, was last seen August 2 at the Olde Stone Restaurant in Clear Brook, Virginia, according to her father Kevin Cummings.

Kevin lives in Winchester, Virginia. Emma and her mother live in West Virginia.

“Being gone this long and not calling any of us is not her,” Kevin said. “Her and my mother have a very close relationship. The times she has left before she has always contacted my mother.”

Witnesses who have reported seeing Emma recently said the teen did not look good and may be under the influence of something.

Her family is investigating reports she was seen getting into a truck outside a Target in Winchester.

Anyone who sees Emma was asked to call police.
