NASHVILLE, Tenn. — One of the Southeasts biggest restaurant chains is offering their support for law enforcement officials after weeks of violence across the country.
Shoney’s is offering a free meal to all law enforcement officials during all hours of operation on Wednesday, July 27. This includes breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
The Nashville based restaurant says the idea came from Shoney’s CEO and Chairman David Davoudpour. The move was then unanimously approved by Shoney’s franchise partners across the country.
“America’s men and women in blue need to hear ‘Thank You’ in a tangible and heartfelt way,” said Davoudpour. “We want to thank them and we salute them with a free meal on the house. If you’re a police officer in your hometown or are traveling to place where Shoney’s does business, please know you are welcome here. I say ‘Let’s Eat’ – for free.”
The offer is for police officers and all members of law enforcement. Members of the law enforcement community can either be in uniform or show proper identification for the meal.
No purchase is necessary, but the offer is only valid for dine-in and a limited to one free meal per official.
