RICHMOND, Va. -- Thursday will be the hottest day so far this year, with highs in the mid to upper 90s and heat index values in the range of 103-107 degrees.
A heat advisory is in effect for areas along and east of I-85 and I-95, including Richmond.
Scattered storms will be possible in the afternoon and evening (best locations look to be North & West of the metro).
Friday will be slightly less hot, but highs will still be in the low to mid 90s.
Expect seasonally hot and humid weather over the weekend, with scattered thunderstorms each day. A very similar pattern will continue through the middle of next week.
