HOPEWELL, Va. — Nearly 10 months after Daniel Radcliffe spent weeks in Central Virginia to film scenes for the upcoming feature “Imperium,” the first trailer has been released.
Radcliffe stayed in river city while in the area, but shot most of his scenes for the film in Hopewell.
Radcliffe stars as Nate Foster, a young, idealistic FBI agent who goes undercover to find and stop white supremacists trying to make a dirty bomb.
The story line was inspired by real events and based on the experiences of FBI undercover agent Michael German, who worked within neo-Nazi and militia groups.
“Imperium” stars Radcliffe, Toni Collette, Tracy Letts, with Nestor Carbonell, Burn Gorman and Sam Trammell.
The movie is slated to be released by Lionsgate Premiere in theaters and On Demand on August 19.
