HENRICO, Va. –Three Chopt Road has been reopened after a water main break left 30 customers in the area without water and lead to an extended road closure Saturday afternoon.
After initially estimating that water would be restored by midnight on Saturday and the road would be closed through Monday, The Henrico County Department of Public Utilities confirmed that water was restored to the affected customers at about 6 p.m. Saturday evening and the road was reopened Sunday evening.
The water main break occurred in the 9300 block of Three Chopt Road and closed the road from Ashford Road to Sweetwater Lane. Traffic was diverted from Three Chopt by way of Quioccasin Road and Pemberton Road. Residents living in the impacted area were allowed to access the closed portion of the road and were provided bottled water until the break was repaired.
