RICHMOND, Va. -- Humidity levels will significantly increase tonight into Tuesday as a cold front approaches from the northwest.

This front will produce scattered storms tomorrow, and a few of these could be strong to severe.

Very heavy rain, high winds and some hail are possible, but severe weather is not expected to be as bad or as widespread as this past Thursday.

Wednesday will be slightly less humid with a mix of sun and clouds, and highs in the mid to upper 80s. Another system will quickly move into the Mid-Atlantic by Thursday, bringing the return of some showers and scattered storms. Rain chances will linger into Friday and highs the end of the week will average in the low 80s.

As of now, it looks like next weekend will be dry with daytime highs in the 80s and overnight lows in the upper 50s and low 60s.

By the way, there’s a little more action in the tropics.

Tropical Depression #4 formed Sunday afternoon over the southwest Gulf of Mexico. It could become Tropical Storm Danielle before moving inland over eastern Mexico later today.

The storm poses no threat to the U.S.
