HENRICO COUNTY, Va. — Henrico Fire crews worked quickly to extinguish a fire at the Shoney’s Restaurant on West Broad Street, near Parham Road, in the West End.
Firefighters were called to the restaurant at about 11:45 p.m. Friday.
“Henrico Fire units arrived within three minutes to find smoke and fire from the roof of the Shoney’s Restaurant,” a Henrico Fire spokesman said. “Firefighters worked fast to control an interior fire before it spread to other areas of the restaurant.”
The cause of the Friday night fire remained under investigation.
A worker at the restaurant who answered the phone Saturday morning said the location was closed for business Saturday due to the fire.
